Cold Bending and Unbending Machine

This equipment has been studied and designed to perform bending tests on steel bars for reinforced concrete.

The machine can perform two types of tests:

• Bend the sample 180° only with mandrels up to max. 96mm included.
• Bend the sample 90° and then straighten it again to a minimum of 20° only with chucks larger than 96 mm in diameter.

This bending machine consists of a robust frame that supports an axis on which a cylinder with a relevant load piston is fixed, driven by a hydraulic cell equipped with a piston speed regulator, direction control valve, max. pressure valve, control pressure gauge. The assembly is wrapped to protect each component from dust and the operator from any possible danger. A small bowl has been placed under the stem, where the steel bar is bent.

Two contrasting rollers are placed on the platform. They can be easily adjusted in distance to comply with regulations for bars with a diameter between 5 and 32 mm.

Fixing and changing the chucks on top of the push cylinder is easy and practical and guarantees the operator perfect interchangeability of the chucks. A device prevents the release of the tested bar from the corresponding rollers and the contrast mandrel both during the bending and unfolding operations.

The machine accepts bars up to Ø 40 mm and is supplied complete with two sets of rollers of Ø 50 and 100 mm respectively.

Chucks, chuck holders and squares are not included in the standard delivery and must be ordered separately.
