Equipment for measuring water impermeability

Category

DETERMINATION OF THE WATER PENETRATION DEPTH UNDER PRESSURE.

STANDARDS: EN 12390-8 | DIN 1048

This three-post equipment with a pressure gauge to be used all at the same time is used to determine the depth of water penetration in concrete (impermeability) under known conditions of time and pressure.

The unit accepts cubic specimens, cylinders or specimens up to 200x200x200 mm. The specimen is placed in the test chamber, and secured with suitable flanges with central screw and circular gaskets.

A known water pressure is applied on the surface of the sample for a known time, as required by the Standard, with a suitable air compressor (see accessories) with at least 5 bar pressure.

A pressure gauge constantly monitors the applied water pressure. The equipment includes graduated burettes fixed on the front panel. The penetrated water is measured by breaking the graduated cylinder, or by reading the penetrated water through the graduated burette.
